Introducing Benjamin Wilson

January 2, 2024

In the challenging world of healthcare, there are some extraordinary individuals who stand out. These are people who not only have the necessary skills but also possess an unbreakable determination to make things better. As an organization, Rezilient has always believed in the power of exceptional people with grit. It’s at the core of our hiring philosophy and even more critical as we take this next step to scale our platform. With this in mind, we’re beyond excited to welcome Benjamin Wilson as our Chief of Staff.

Benjamin is a passionate and determined leader, whose career has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a pursuit of truth. His journey from collegiate athletics to the multi-faceted challenges facing healthcare organizations of various sizes and economic models reflects his innovative spirit and unwavering work ethic.

Benjamin previously served as the Chief Actuary at Babylon, where he built, scaled, and led the Actuarial Services, Value-Based Care (VBC) Finance, and Healthcare Economics functions from the ground up during the lead-up to Babylon’s IPO through its rapid U.S. expansion. With a dogged focus on cash-flow, risk management, pricing, and payer-provider negotiations in the complex world of VBC, Benjamin’s persistent attention to financial and contractual detail helped guide the organization through post-IPO turbulence.

Prior to joining Babylon, Benjamin held senior actuarial roles at Centene, where he forged strategies and teams to manage some of the most complex government-sponsored healthcare populations globally through VBC and payer-provider partnerships, including the on-site development of integrated care systems in international settings. This desire to take innovative approaches to managing healthcare both locally and at scale was built on the foundation laid in his early career evaluating financial risks for enterprise clients at Willis Towers Watson.

Benjamin received his Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Penn State, where he played college baseball until injuries lead to his first major pivot into the actuarial world. He is a credentialed actuary by training, but not one to be limited to one toolbox, and with an innate drive to build innovative businesses, Benjamin is also a graduate of Olin Business School’s Executive MBA program at the Washington University of St. Louis.

As Rezilient continues to serve hundreds of health plans across the country, Benjamin will help Rezilient build the infrastructure required to scale our team as well as our services offering nationwide. Join me in welcoming Benjamin to the Rezilient team.
