CloudClinic vs. telehealth: What’s right for you?
September 25, 2025

At Rezilient Health, we believe in accessible, high-quality care that adapts to your needs. For some, that means visiting a nearby CloudClinic. For others, it means seeing a provider virtually. Either way, you’re receiving the same level of care. In this post, we’ll help you understand what each type of appointment offers, when one may be more necessary than the other, and what you can expect from each kind of visit.
CloudClinic visits
What they are:
CloudClinics are Rezilient’s hybrid care clinics. When you book a CloudClinic visit, you’ll be cared for by one of our medics in person, while a provider joins virtually by secure video. The medic assists with exams, takes vitals, and uses connected digital tools that allow your provider to see and hear exactly what’s going on with your health.
Best for:
- Annual checkups and preventative care
- Visits that require vitals, labs, or diagnostic tools (like listening to your heart and lungs, checking your ears, or collecting blood samples)
- In-person support if you’re more comfortable having a medic right there with you
What to expect:
- Check in: You’ll be greeted by a Rezilient medic
- Vitals and setup: The medic records your vitals and gets you set up in an exam room
- Provider visit: Your provider joins by video, with the medic assisting as needed
- Follow-up: If labs or imaging are needed, the medic collects samples or gives you the next steps. Prescriptions, referrals, and care plans are shared in your Rezilient portal
Telehealth visits
What they are:
Telehealth visits are completely virtual appointments. You can connect with your provider from anywhere using your phone, tablet, or computer. These visits are available in all 50 states, even if you don’t live near a CloudClinic.
Best for:
- Primary care check-ins and ongoing management of chronic conditions
- Prescription refills
- Urgent care needs that can often be handled virtually (like pink eye, sinus infections, rashes, or medication questions)
- When you’re traveling or if you don’t have a CloudClinic nearby
What to expect:
- Log in: Schedule your appointment and connect at your chosen time via the secure link sent to you via email and SMS before your appointment
- Provider visit: You’ll meet face-to-face with your provider on video. They may ask you to describe symptoms, show an area on camera, or walk through simple self-checks
- Follow-up: Prescriptions, referrals, or lab orders are sent electronically. If an in-person follow-up is needed, your provider will guide you
Not “either/or” – just what’s right for you
Because your employer’s plan and location determine which services you can access, some patients may only use telehealth while others have the option of visiting a CloudClinic. Both are designed to give you comprehensive, $0 out-of-pocket primary and urgent care.
The takeaway: telehealth isn’t just for quick fixes like pink eye. You can build an ongoing relationship with your provider virtually, manage chronic conditions, and get preventive care all from home. And if you do have access to a CloudClinic, you can add in the benefit of on-site exams and labs when needed.
Choosing care with confidence
Here’s a simple way to think about it:
- Need labs, vitals, or hands-on diagnostics? Schedule a CloudClinic visit (if available to you)
- Need convenience, follow-up care, or don’t have a CloudClinic nearby? Schedule a telehealth visit
Either way, you’ll be connected to the same Rezilient providers and supported by our care coordination team before, during, and after your appointment.
Bottom line: Rezilient adapts to your life. Whether you’re stepping into a CloudClinic or connecting virtually, you can expect the same personalized, compassionate, and proactive approach to your health.
